The handmade paper boxes of tuyu are produced by Milan´s paper cooperation in Kathmandu, Nepal. In the workshop, recycled paper is made, using both waste paper and banana leaves, straw and water hyacinth. The cooperation not only makes beautiful products, but also has a strong social objective, helping the 120 members with design training and quality control, education, scholarships and medical assistance.
