The leather products of tuyu come from Monju´s organization in Bangladesh. Monju ensures that the products can be exported. Bangladesh is a country with limited access to international trade. Besides the textile industry, not many producers are able to export to the European market. This workshop in Dhaka employs ± 30 people. They work for the local market, and tuyu is their main export customer. Producing for the European market gives them the possibility to improve the quality of their work. The quality is high and the flexibility in leather colours is large. Through this work, more than average wages can be paid, and the working circumstances are good.
