Hulshof Royal Dutch Tanneries, the greenest tannery in the world,
was looking for a special and distinctive gift, in which the link between Hulshof and the bull image was to be shown. This gift was presented at the end of the year to business relations, customers and employees.

Tuyu suggested portraying a bull in soapstone, a material that feels as pleasant to the touch as high quality leather. Hulshof leather comes from the best bulls and is the finest of its kind. The bull statue was made in Agra in India, where soapstone is still processed according to the ancient techniques. The translation of the image of an Indian cow into a Dutch one was a major challenge.
